There is a rivalry brewing, whether or not it will turn out to be iconic is a question only time will tell. Luka Doncic and Devin Booker have been in the middle of an unannounced feud since the 2022 Western Conference Finals and the rivalry seems to have ignited even further.

Each time the Dallas Mavericks play the Phoenix Suns, there seems to be an underlying current of angst and bitterness. The Mavericks rightfully got one over them and the Suns are angry at the disrespect.

Each time they meet, the games have been tight, and intense – so much so that it reaches a boiling point. Tonight’s game was a perfect illustration of the atmosphere in these games.

Luka Doncic and Devin Booker get into a “war of words”

Devin Booker was visibly angry as the game progressed and the Mavs ran away with a win. He started playing rougher and got a foul called against him and a war of words between him and Luka Doncic followed.

Viewers noticed the odd disdain Luka showed to Booker. And it looks like something of a grudge that Luka harbors against Booker.

Booker also flopped quite severely.

And NBA Twitter wanted to poke fun at the whole feud.

It was Luka’s night today, he capped off a great first-half performance with this play.

Luka Doncic’s Mavericks put the Suns to bed with 19 point win

The Mavs have finally improved to a record above .500 and they beat the best team in the West to do it. A comeback to last year’s playoff form?

At the helm of it all, is Luka holding the reins. If the Slovenian superstar were to be absent, the Mavericks would probably be tanking for “Wemby”.

The MVP race is heating up and Luka Doncic wants everyone to know, he isn’t going anywhere.
