GTA Online Winter Update 2022 is called Los Santos Drug Wars

Rockstar Games’ titan of GTA Online continues to chug along as a new update for the game has been announced. Titled ‘Los Santos Drug Wars,’ the new update promises a ton of new content alongside returning characters. While an earlier blog post revealed a few quality-of-life changes, the latest post reveals more of the content coming to the game. Here’s everything known so far.

GTA Online Los Santos Drug Wars coming out on December 13, 2022

The Rockstar Newswire released new promotional artwork for the update alongside a few details in the update. At a glance, here’s what can be deciphered from the post:

  • Trevor’s associate Nervous Ron makes a return
  • Blaine County will likely be the area of operation
  • Players will be involved in the psychedelics trade to Los Santos
  • Bikers and hippies will try to hinder player progress
  • This is a two-part story update
  • New business enterprise to operate
  • New vehicles
  • Fresh missions

Rockstar’s blog post reads:

“Head straight to Blaine County and join up with old pal Nervous Ron and a new band of out-of-state misfits on a mission to put their stamp on the Los Santos psychedelics trade. Fight off an unlikely coalition of wealthy hippies and trigger-happy bikers while cooking up potent hallucinogenics — in elaborate labs or out of your own massive rolling chemistry set — in the opening chapter of an expansive new two-part story update for GTA Online.”

No other details have been shared so far aside from a December 13 release date. Glancing at the promotional art reveals a bunch of new characters and a potential train heist. Fans will have to stay tuned for more news as Rockstar Games drip releases details.
