“Damian Lillard Could Do it!”: 270 lbs Phil Heath Believes $100 Million Worth Blazers Guard Can Turn Professional Bodybuilder
Damian Lillard is one of the most multi-faceted players in the NBA. The Portland Trail Blazers guard, along with being NBA’s Greatest-75 player of all-time, is a rapper and boxer by hobbies.
The 6x All-Star isn’t bad at either. While some of his rap music has gotten some respect from the pros, the man is one of the few basketball players to be invited on Mike Tyson’s Hot Boxin’ podcast.
However, it seems the 6ft 2’ point guard has fans across the States. A 7-time Mr. Olympia not only has him among his favorite basketball players, he believes Dame Dolla could turn professional bodybuilder if he wanted to.
Phil Heath believes Damian Lillard could become a Bodybuilder
Not that it would be something that Lillard would seriously consider, but it must be great for the Blazers All-Star to be the man who came into a legendary bodybuilder’s thoughts when Fox Sports Analyst and NFL legend Shannon Sharpe asked the 270 lbs phenome about who could do it among NBA players.
In a recent appearance on Club Shay Shay, Heath said that Nate Robinson would have been great at bodybuilding if he tried and among the current players went on to say the $100 million worth Blazers superstar’s name without much ado.
“Dame Dolla could do it,” said Phil Heath and went on to say that most of the guys are too tall for the sport.
He also talked about the NFL players who would excel at it and said Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf’s name from the top of his head.
NBA stars with great builds for a basketball player
LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Serge Ibaka, and Dwight Howard might come to your mind among the players who had/have a terrific build for basketball players.
The 90s had some as well. Karl Malone and David Robinson were probably the first superstars in the NBA who’d have inspired players after them to look like they did while dribbling a basketball.
But, truth be told, bodybuilding could prove massively bad for athletes who already wear their knees out while playing. They best put as less load on the pair after they retire unless they want whole new ones via surgeries.
