“HAVE SOME GUTS”: Skip Bayless Rips Into LeBron James After Lakers Superstar Airballed a Game Winner Against Celtics

LeBron James, You've Been A Clutch Player Your Whole Life": When An ESPN Reporter Made The Lakers Man Blush, Contradicting Skip Bayless and His Body Of Work

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have just lost back-to-back overtime games—a hard showing. Against the Philadelphia 76ers, Anthony Davis barely got any touches, but this time against the Celtics, they had a 13-point lead in the final 5 minutes. They saw a massive Celtics swing, in which Jayson Tatum tied the score with 11 seconds to go.

LeBron, like always, had the ball in his hand and had all the time in the world to close the game. The Celtics were tired, gassed, and, quite frankly, ready to go home with a loss. They’d still be on top of the table, so it didn’t do much damage. And then it all changed. Bron chose the devil on his shoulder and decided to take an awkward-looking 3-point shot.

The moment it left his hands, he knew he had made the wrong choice. Not because he was going to miss it, but because he knew Skip Bayless was cackling away, phone whipped out, and ready to tweet. Throughout the game, he’d been “supporting” the King, and when the time came, the court jester decided to mock the man sitting on LA’s throne.

And to be honest, Bron did make the wrong call. He had all the time in the world to just drive in, get the contact, and follow through for an And-1. Anthony Davis was under the basket, so he could get the rebound even if he missed. But it all came down to a shot he wanted to make. Bron tried to be Stephen Curry but fell flat instead.

Skip Bayless is enjoying his time being a Lakers Hater – He’s getting his fill of tweets

The man is always on his toes when it comes to Lakers games. There is no shortage of drama, mostly because the Lakers usually implode. The same thing happened with Philly, Indiana, and now the Celtics. The purple and gold cannot close out games, and it is glaringly obvious.

And the columnist who disrespected Shannon Sharpe lives for the Lakers’ misery. Why not, because his engagement rate increases exponentially during this time! Plus, any LeBron bashing gives him the satisfaction of being a Michael Jordan fanatic.

It’s always “shameful” that LeBron James cannot close games, according to Skip Bayless. Even if he does make the right play, he demands Bron be the one shooting it. And when he does take it into his hands, more often than not, it’s the No Clutch Gene tweet that comes out.

LeBron James looks tired – Age is catching up to him, whether he likes it or not

Gone are the days when Bron could put the whole team on his back for 48 minutes. The 2018 version of him feels like a distant memory now. Bron is getting older, and that is a fact everyone has to accept. He may be scoring at an incredible pace, but it’s incredible for his age. He can only do it in bursts now, not for tough games like these.

And that is where it all matters since the league is getting more competitive by the day. If this were a seven-game series, the Lakers and LeBron James would be swept, no doubt. But for them to make it that far, they still have to play about 55 or 60 games. If he does manage to keep himself energetic enough, they could scrape into 9th place.

Beating the Boston Celtics is a tough job. The reins have been handed over to Jayson Tatum and his partner, Jaylen Brown. The Jays have taken over, and it’s almost curtains for everybody else.
