Despite Still Being Married to Shaunie, Shaquille O’Neal Once Offered to Pay Artists $50,000 to Shun Ex-mistress Alexis Miller

Shaquille O’Neal has done a lot of wild things in his life. Being a 7ft 1″ giant usually allows him to do whatever he wants without repercussions. After all, he is the man who bullied Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee to the point where they conspired to beat him up. However, they couldn’t when they realized what Shaq was capable of doing.

That being said, there are certain things no man should do, no matter his size and fame. The usually loveable Shaq once did a highly questionable thing.

While he was still married to Shaunie O’Neal, he first allegedly indulged with a musician named Alexis Miller. His mistress later filed a restraining order against O’Neal. What could he have done to reach this point in life?

Shaquille O’Neal tried to disrupt his former mistress’s life

In 2008, Shaquille O’Neal was a part of the Phoenix Suns squad. Having won 4 championships, his time with the Suns was proof of a steady decline in his career. Apart from his on-court antics, this is when Shaq went wild with his off-the-court antics.

TMZ alleged that Shaq had threatened his former mistress. In their report, TMZ also alleged that O’Neal had also tried to pay other artists around $50,000 to deny performing or working with Alexis Miller. Miller, who goes by the name Mary Jane, then filed a restraining order against the basketball superstar.

Court documents acquired by TMZ showed a dark side of Shaquille O’Neal. They read:

“Shaq “threatened to ‘blackball” [her] from the recording industry by paying established artists….$50,000 each for their agreement to refuse to perform or record with her in the future”

Alexis, who goes by the name of Mary Jane, is a hip-hop artist from Atlanta. While she initially filed the restraining order in 2008, she lifted it in 2015. It wasn’t clear whether the two parties reached a mutual settlement. However, the official order was finally withdrawn after 7 long years.

Shaq also offended Venus Williams

Shaq has been in trouble with successful women before too. He once claimed to have slept with tennis legend Venus Williams. But this did not sit too well with the 7-time Grand Slam winner.

She immediately called out Shaquille O’Neal, confessing that the 7ft 1″ athlete’s comments were false. In the aftermath of it, O’Neal justified what he had said by calling himself a comedian. But he realized his ‘joke’ had hurt Venus and apologized for it.
