“I Probably Have the Most Bounce”: Luka Doncic Lets the Remaining of the Mavericks Hear it After Flushing it Down vs Portland

After suffering a 15-point loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Dallas Mavericks have managed to end their 3-game homestand with a dominant 130-110 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Yet again, it was one superstar who completely outshone the others – Luka Doncic.

Recording a 4th straight 30-point performance, the Slovenian youngster ended up posting 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists on an efficient 61.1/55.6/85.7 shooting split.

Oh, the 3-time All-Star even managed to hype up the 20,000+ supporters present at the American Airlines Center with an emphatic dunk.

“I’m used to it by now”: Luka Doncic on whether he shocked himself with the dunk 

Before sitting out for the entire 4th period, Luka had a terrific dunk late in the 3rd quarter. With a little less than 3 minutes remaining on the clock, the 6-foot-7 guard received the ball on top of the key. He then faked a shot, faked a pass, and ended up dunking the ball all over Drew Eubanks.

After the game, Doncic was asked whether or not he shocked himself with the dunk. Doncic’s cocky reply:

“No, I’m used to it by now [laughter]. I probably have the most bounce on the team. You know, [Christian Wood], I was telling him he is only length, and he’s got no bounce. So I had to show him.”

As soon as Luka’s play went viral, social media flooded with several reactions.

The Texas-based franchise’s coach Jason Kidd was also impressed by what the European had to offer. In the postgame interview, Kidd spoke about the 23-year-old’s jaw-dropping dunk.

“It was pretty impressive. He can get off the ground. It’s impressive, the load that he carries and the things that he can do and he can still surprise you with something. That was big time.”
