MS Dhoni chooses to train alone at the NCA
Former Indian Captain and veteran keeper MS Dhoni has decided to train alone at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
Before India’s tour of UK, Dhoni has decided to spend some time training. While some relatively young guns like Sanju Samson, Mohammed Shami and Ambati Raydu failed to qualify for the Yo Yo test, MS Dhoni passed the test with flying colours. This is a tribute to his fitness levels despite his mounting age.
Even at the age of 36 years, Dhoni can give a run for money to the youngest and fittest of cricketers around the world. He is still is one of the fastest runners between the wickets.

As the former Indian captain only plays the limited overs format now, he has to train extra hard. The veteran retired from test cricket in 2013 and since then he has only been playing in the IPL and in the Limited overs format in international cricket.
The IPL is over for a while and Dhoni is back to working on his fitness. He has started spending quite a lot of time in the gym now and is also working on his technique ahead of the challenging tour of UK at the NCA where he was spotted in the nets.
Dhoni faced balls from CSK Pacer Shardul Thakur for around 2 hours. Member of the Indian training staff, Raghu also helped Dhoni in the throwdowns for quite some time. Raghu started slow but gradually increased the pace of the ball and also tested the veteran with some short stuff.
After taking a short break, Dhoni faced SRH pace bowler Siddharth Kaul. Once he was done with the training and was moving out of the NCA he saw few people observing him. The former captain stopped, paused for a while and said “Bhanak laag gaya (you got to know that I am here),”with a smile cropping up on his face.
