Perth vs Thunder head to head: SCO vs THU head to head record in BBL history
The 29th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Big Bash League will be played between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder in Perth tomorrow. Second of a mid-week double-header day will follow the first match between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat in Sydney.
First team to hit the 10-point mark this season, defending champions Perth Scorchers are at the top of the points table on the back of five wins and a solitary loss in their six matches thus far. In spite of winning a match less and losing a couple of more, Thunder are at the second position on the points table.
While a clash between table-toppers is generally looked forward to among fans, another reason why this match will grab all the more eyeballs is their neck-to-neck head-to-head record of the past. Despite losing four out of their last five matches against Thunder, Scorchers have only won a match less than the opposition over the years.
Played almost a year ago, the last match between these two franchises had witnessed Sydney winning by 6 wickets (D/L Method) after they had chased down a 135-run target in an 18-over contest with an over to spare. ST pacer Gurinder Sandhu, their highest wicket-taker against this opposition, had become the first Thunder bowler to perform a hat-trick in the history of the BBL in that match.
