Charles Barkley, Who Hasn’t Paid Shaquille O’Neal $10,000 Yet, Curses On NBAonTNT As Shaq comes To His Rescue
Charles Barkley has never been one to mince his words. Him being recruited to ‘Inside the NBA’ by Turner Sports after he retired from the league as a Houston Rocket in 2000 was one of the greatest decisions in the history of sports media.
Pairing him alongside the likes of fellow Rockets legend, Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith and Ernie Johnson did wonders for NBAonTNT. Their final move in order to really take the show to the next level was adding Shaquille O’Neal in to the mix after he had just retired as a Celtic due to an Achilles injury.
After Shaq found his footing within their foursome, there was no stopping them in terms of constantly coming up with the most hilarious bits in all of sports television. The chemistry that the Lakers legend shares with Chuck is beyond comprehendible as they seem to always know what to see to, at the very least, get a chuckle out of the viewer.
Charles Barkley cusses on TV and Shaquille O’Neal vows to cover his fine
It feels as though Charles Barkley finds a way to get Ernie Johnson riled up in nearly every single edition of ‘Inside the NBA’. The most recent episode of the show saw Chuck say the word ‘a**hole’ while on air. After Ernie tried to put a stop to it, he hilariously corrected himself and said the word jacka**.
Shaquille O’Neal, as expected, was in splits from this exchange and vowed to cover the fine Chuck was about to receive for swearing on TV, from the FCC.
Charles Barkley: “I don’t want to be one of these as*holes on Television…”
Ernie Johnson: “Hey! Hey! Hey!”
CB: “Oh, I mean jackasses I meant. I’m sorry.”
Shaq: “Chuck I’ll tell you what: I will pay your fine to the FCC!”

What’s funny is that, Charles actually owes Shaq $10,000 for a bet that he lost against ‘the Big Aristotle’ some time back during a spelling bee segment on ‘Inside the NBA’.
Charles Barkley and the rest are locked into NBAonTNT
After years of nearly confirming that he would retire for good at the age of 60, Charles Barkley signed an incredible deal with Turner Sports last year. He claimed he didn’t want to ‘die on TV’ and so wanted to retire early to enjoy the wealth he accumulated.
However, Turner offered him a deal worth anywhere between $100 and 200 million, leading to him taking that deal up as it runs for another 10 years. The rest of the crew got similar deals and so ‘Inside the NBA’ will be on air with these 4 for another decade at the minimum.
