“Chris Paul Tells What You NEED to Hear”: Matt Barnes Reveals Why Suns Legend’s Behavior Doesn’t Sit Well With Younger Players

Chris Paul is one of the greatest guards in the game of basketball to play the point position. However, aside from being the ‘Point God’ of the NBA, he is also one of the most disliked players.

Any type of ‘God’ in your name will get you some hate, along with the love, won’t it? Well, that might be the reason why the 12x All-Star doesn’t care about it much and has been just about the same over his 15 years in the league.

While ticking opposition players is as easy as it gets for Paul, a lot of times his own teammates can’t stand his behavior, and that’s where things complicate. Matt Barnes might have a thing or two to tell us about it.

Matt Barnes speaks on hatred toward Chris Paul

In a recent episode of the Bootleg Kev Podcast, the former LA Clippers forward Matt Barnes came across an evergreen subject when Kev, a Phoenix Suns fan, hilariously said he ‘has’ to deal with CP3 being in his favorite franchise and failing to lead them to glory after being one of the best teams in the league.

Barnes then opened up about his time with Lob City Clippers and revealed that CP3 is a “throwback” type of point guard who would never tell you what you “want” to hear but rather always stick to what you “need” to hear.

Despite his breakup with some great players over the years like Blake Griffin and James Harden, Paul hasn’t changed his behavior slightly and continues to be the same arrogant personality who will always be a constant buzz in your year if you’re his teammate or opponent. If you’re the latter, and he’s winning, he’d burn you inside out and head to toe as you cry in misery.

CP3 is failing his team yet again

If you’d ask Suns fans that after getting a 35-year-old veteran point guard, they will reach the NBA Finals in their first season and then finish as #1 in the NBA with a 64-18 record, they’d tell you to pinch them.

But after that happened, and they got out of the second round last season, Paul’s failure to lead some top teams to the ultimate glory over his otherwise successful career suddenly got highlighted.

As we speak, the Suns are just on the .500 mark and are 2-7 in their last 9 outings with Devin Booker injured. They might be looking towards another failed attempt at the championship, maybe even Playoffs, if the teams below them catch fire.
