Giannis Antetokounmpo is not the easiest name to spell by any means. The origins of the name are deeply rooted in Yoruba history and without any context, you wouldn’t even know where to begin.
So when a TMZ reporter asked Mallory Edens, the owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, about her team, it took a slight turn when she was asked how to pronounce her star player’s name.
Mallory was quickly taken aback. “Oh F***”, she muttered and started to ponder the pronunciation. And what followed will shock you.

Yes, while it may be tricky to pronounce, spelling out Giannis Antetokounmpo is even harder. As for Mallory, she got the pronunciation spot on. “Adetokoumbo,” she said, and it is very accurate.
And after a little pondering, she does manage to nail the spelling. Kudos. Aaron Rodgers must be a proud boyfriend.
It is great to see Mallory pronouncing and spelling her star player’s name so well. She predicted that Milwaukee would win the championship, a deed that came true five years later.
Mallory has been in the headlines lately. There is a rumor swirling that she dating Aaron Rodgers and it was just confirmed recently.

Giannis is putting the Bucks on his back
As long as there is more spotlight on the city of Milwaukee, we reckon Giannis will be happy about it. Antetokounmpo has been carrying the Bucks on his back.
The Bucks currently sit as the 3rd seed and with the playoff race looking good, every win will matter. Of late, they have stumbled a little. However, Giannis is not backing down.
The best player in the world recently recorded a career-high 55-point performance and he says there is more to come. We can’t wait. We reckon, Mallory Edens will be eager too and alongside her will be her new beau, Aaron Rodgers!
