IND vs SL ODI head to head: India vs Sri Lanka head to head records in ODI history
India and Sri Lanka will follow their recently concluded three-match T20I series with a three-match ODI series beginning in Guwahati from tomorrow. If cricketers from both the sides manage to replicate their performances from the T20Is, fans wouldn’t mind an entertaining and closely fought ODI series within a six-day period.
India, who’ve won five out of their last six ODIs against Sri Lanka, have build an incredible ODI record against them over the years. When it comes to playing at home, India have won 10 out of their last 11 ODIs against this opposition and will unequivocally start as favourites on Tuesday.
A primary rationale behind the last line is the return of first-choice Indian batters namely captain Rohit Sharma, former captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul. Furthermore, fast bowler Mohammed Shami will also be playing his first ODI in almost six months. In what is an ICC Cricket World Cup year, expect these high-profile names to not skip ODIs from hereon.

It is noteworthy that these India-Sri Lanka ODIs won’t be counted under ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. The lack of a definite context, however, shouldn’t affect the overall performance of both the teams by any means.
