David Warner once missed a grade cricket match to watch horse racing in 2013
Australian batter David Warner is certainly one of the best players to play the game of cricket. He is one of those players who has made his name in all formats of the game. Warner made his debut for Australia without playing a single FC game, he was the first Australian in 132 years to do so at that time
Recently, Warner won the Man of the Series trophy against South Africa in the test series, where he scored a terrific double hundred in the Boxing Day test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. There were a lot of questions asked about Warner’s place in the test team, but he proved his doubters wrong.
Warner will now travel to India with the Australian team next month, where he is a very popular figure. The craze of Warner in India is immense as he has made a lot of videos dancing to Indian songs and has been playing IPL for a very long now.
David Warner once missed a grade cricket match in 2013
David Warner is certainly a character on the field, he is a great player on the field, but he is not shy of controversies as well. One such incident happened to him in 2013, when he missed a grade cricket match in New South Wales. He was due to play for his club Randwick Petersham, but he did not appear.

Warner chose to do his net practice as he was a part of the international setup as well. However, according to reports, he was seen watching a horse race, and it created a lot of controversies. Cricket New South Wales banned him for one match, and he was also asked to promote an anti-drug drive.
“This has been an unfortunate episode. Like most cricket fans, I and all at Cricket NSW would like nothing more than to see David Warner achieve his potential on and off the field,” Cricket NSW chief Andrew Jones said.
Warner said that he did not anything wrong at that time. In the same year, he was banned for a couple of Ashes tests as well for punching English batter Joe Root in a bar.
