“What Do You Want? A Cookie?”: Charles Barkley Goes Off at LeBron James and Lakers as They Fall 119-115 in Double OT
The Los Angeles Lakers fell short for a second straight game last night. After winning five games in a row, the Lakers have now lost back-to-back games. This time it was Luka Doncic and his Mavericks who handed LeBron James and co. this loss. The game went to 2OT, but in the end, the Mavericks managed to pull away with a 119-115 win.
The Inside The NBA crew was covering this game as part of their doubleheader on TNT Thursday. Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson all watched as Luka managed to keep the Mavericks alive two times with dagger threes.
After the game, the crew was discussing the recent Lakers surge. However, there was one guy who wasn’t impressed with the Purple and Gold.

Charles Barkley shares his disappointment with the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers lost their second game in a row, and well, that didn’t help their case with the Chuckster. Chuck was already against the network showing Lakers games on National TV, with the way they have been the last two seasons.
Tonight, after they fought their way to a double OT, the rest of the crew was praising the team for their recent success. However, Charles Barkley wasn’t one of them. Even though the Lakers played well, according to him, they did not win the contest.
Clearly, Chuck wasn’t too happy being pestered about the same, and said,

Ever since LeBron turned 38, the Lakers have gone 5-2 in seven games. They played two of those games without LeBron and split the result in the same. However, Chuck isn’t wrong as well. Till the time they don’t win, what good would playing well do.

Can the Lakers make the playoffs?
The Lakers are currently sitting on the 13th slot in the West with a 19-23 record. However, the one thing that is working for them is that the 9th seed is just one game ahead of them. As of now, the Lakers have been playing without Anthony Davis and still managed to go on a five-game run.
Once they get their big man back, and if he comes back healthy, with the way LeBron James and Russell Westbrook have been playing, the Lakers do have a genuine shot at the post season.
