As per the scoring tracker from NBA.com, we are just 16 days away from seeing LeBron pass Kareem. The Lakers superstar sits just 224 points away from the record.
His season average of 29.6 points per game means that if the King maintains that, he will eclipse the Skyhook creator on February 7th vs Oklahoma City Thunder.

This is a feat that has been a long time coming. LeBron is doing something historic. So much so that it hasn’t been broken in the last 40 years. Nearly.
The last time it happened was when Kareem overtook Wilt in 1984, before LeBron was even born! This is an event that happens once in a generation.
