Virat Kohli aims to play fearless cricket in England
The highly anticipated India’s tour of England is ready to kick off at Old Trafford, where the Men In Blue will clash against the Three Lions in the first T20I.
With both teams in a good run of form as of late, a neck to neck contest is expected and with that in mind, skipper Virat Kohli has revealed that he aims to play fearless cricket and win matches in the process.
Kohli also added that the conditions would be challenging which does not add to the pressure and mentioned India’s triumph over England last time when the two sides met. He said:
“Playing against a good team in their conditions and at their home, to get the opportunity to be able to beat them in their home conditions, it is a point of excitement for us and not pressure.

“When they came to India last time, we won the series and the trophy is with us, and now they are on home soil and they need to play well to win it back. We will play fearless cricket and literally we have nothing to lose.”
The last limited overs series between the two nations was very closely contested where India managed to trump England by the margins of 2-1.
The Indian captain also hinted at testing India’s versatile bench, keeping the 2019 World Cup and the middle order in mind. Here’s what the skipper had to say:
“Looking at the World Cup, we will try a lot of players in the shorter formats. In the ODIs the middle order is something that we have been looking for and we have a few things that we want to try out and address there as well,”
India’s tour of England kicks off on July 3 at Old Trafford.
