ICC releases latest ODI rankings after India-England series
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released latest ODI rankings after India-England series and India has a mixed bag.
While the team still is at the top of the ICC ODI rankings, the loss against England certainly didn’t help.
India lost the 3rd ODI against England at Leeds by 8 wickets with 33 balls remaining and along with it the ODI series 2-1. India had horrific day at office at Leeds in the 3rd ODI against England. They did not score freely and at the same time lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma quite early.

Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli then put up a good partnership. Although they were not going at a very quick clip, it still kept India in the game. Dhawan was looking great as always but this time as well he was not able to convert the start he got.
From there on it was always a downhill battle for India as the team managed to somehow reach 256 for 8. This was a below par score and India needed to come up with a great bowling performance to make a match out of it. On the contrary, India bowled quite ordinarily as England got off to an explosive start to seal the series.

On the back of consecutive hundreds, Joe Root has climbed in the latest ODI batting rankings. He is only behind Virat Kohli who is at No 1. MS Dhoni may not have had a great tour but he too climbed one spot to reach the 14th place.

The biggest gainer for India was Kuldeep Yadav who jumped eight spots to the sixth position in the ODI bowlers rankings. Kuldeep’s partner in crime, Yuzvendra Chahal, is at the 10th spot.
