Is Nikola Jokic Playing Today vs Jazz?: Nuggets Superstar’s Injury Report Fails to Encourage Fans
Nikola Jokic is something else. While everyone has joined the Joel Embiid hype train this season, it’s like the greatness of what the Nuggets star is doing has been lost. This is the man that is putting up a 3rd consecutive MVP-caliber season in a row, especially when the Western Conference has been more balanced than it has been in years. That is beyond incredible.
Further, the man has played in the vast majority of the Nuggets’ games this season. Considering that we are in the midst of an era where injuries run rampant, that is beyond admirable.
That said, there is a serious downside to this. You see, after playing so many games, fatigue has finally started to take over for the superstar. And due to it, he has been forced to miss 4 of the last 6 games. And that alone begs a massive question. Will he be healthy enough to play against the Jazz tonight?
ESPN report on Nikola Jokic’s health fails to encourage
Getting straight to the point here, things aren’t looking so good ahead of tonight. While Nikola Jokic doesn’t seem to have suffered a serious problem, he has been dealing with a nagging calf injury.
.@RealSkipBayless breaks down why Joel Embiid should be No. 1 on the player rankings, not Nikola Jokić or Giannis:
“Embiid is 7ft tall and has the touch, arc and sweetness of the swish. Not to mention, he’s also good at defense.” pic.twitter.com/OBeIx9oZbh

Due to it, he has been labeled as questionable ahead of this match, by ESPN. So frankly, we wouldn’t hold our breaths if we were Nuggets fans on this one. After all, the franchise does stand at the top of the west, with the second-seeded Grizzlies 1.5 games behind them.
Further, we doubt it’d be in the franchise’s best interest to risk anything with the playoffs just around the corner. So, in simpler words, it is highly unlikely that Jokic plays today against the Utah Jazz.
What is Nikola Jokic averaging this season?
After 68 games played this season, Nikola Jokic is averaging 24.8 points, 11.9 rebounds, 9.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. He is also shooting 63.3% from the field, 38.5% from three, and 82.1% from the free-throw line.
