“Y’all Gonna Pay For That”: Stephen A Smith Calls Out Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley For Ridiculing His ‘Derrick White Hairline’
The media coverage of the NBA is a very serious affair. After all, we’re talking about a sport featuring some of the greatest athletic specimens in the world. Nothing less than top-class analysis is expected. But, then there are the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.
The Big Aristotle and The Round Mound of Rebound are two of the most respected players in NBA history. Their accomplishments are vast and their knowledge of the game is close to none. That is why they were made NBA analysts following their retirement. Both the Hall of Famers joined TNT’s Inside the NBA crew, where their reviews of NBA basketball are greatly appreciated.
However, their “high” basketball IQs aren’t the only reason they were brought on board. The two men also have a penchant for fooling around. In particular, roasting one another or joining forces to roast others. In their most recent roasting spree, their two unfortunate targets were Stephen A Smith and Derrick White.
Stephen A Smith isn’t happy with Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley comparing him to Derrick White
On the most recent Inside the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley interestingly compared Boston Celtics guard Derrick White to Stephen A Smith. Now, from a basketball perspective that isn’t exactly complimentary to White, but Stephen A should be feeling good about himself. After all, at one point he was an aspiring basketball player.
However, it would have been flattering if basketball was what Shaq and Chuck were referring to. In a hilarious segment, both O’Neal and Barkley roasted Derrick White and Stephen A Smith, claiming both men had the same hairline.
The two NBA legends couldn’t stop laughing and, to no one’s surprise, Stephen A wasn’t too peeved. The First Take star took to Twitter where he made it clear that he will get payback.
Love all of my brothers on @NBAonTNT. But I’m gonna get @SHAQ and Chuck for comparing me with Derrick White. Y’all are gonna pay for that 😀😀😀

A truly savage attack from the likes of Shaq and Chuck. And while Stephen A may look out for revenge it’s going to be a long time before he recovers from this one.
Despite the unnecessary diss from Shaq and Chuck, Derrick White had a great game against the Hawks
Derrick White will definitely be feeling a certain way about his hairline being dissed. But, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley’s harsh words will be the last thing on his mind. Especially, after the performance he had last night. White was second only to Jayson Tatum and helped the Celtics to a Game 2 win over the Hawks with 26 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
Either way, a few jokes at his expense shouldn’t be any of his concern. The Boston Celtics will need him and the rest of the roster locked in if they are to reach the Finals once again.
