“Kobe Bryant is just gonna kill you”: Ron Artest Picks Lakers Teammate Over LeBron James Despite Highlighting Latter’s Strengths
No doubt the debate between LeBron James and Kobe Bryant was a wildfire in the 2000s, and the 2010s. While the storm may have quelled and the fire, now a mere ember. We basketball fans think it is an important discourse to have.
How many times in our lifetimes will we be privileged enough to see perhaps two of the best players in the last 50 years grace the game? Not many we suppose. LeBron and Kobe were exactly that. Both have the resume to be called amongst the greatest.
But how does it feel to play against them? And more importantly, how does it feel to guard them? Well, one person equipped to answer it, would be Ron Artest. Or Metta World Peace. Whichever name he prefers.
Ron played against both. He knows how they play. So, you would expect a good answer.
“Kobe is just gonna kill you”: Ron Artest takes his former teammate over LeBron James
Well, we aren’t surprised that he picked his Lakers teammate. But Ron’s answer might feel a little different.
He says, “They pose different problems, I think it’s about even. Bron is faster and stronger and he’s playing the game. He’s controlling everybody. Whereas Kobe is just gonna kill you. So, it’s two different problems.”
It looks like he is praising LeBron more than Kobe but a singular statement feels as though he is siding with his teammate. Just watch the video below.
What do you think? And what do you think of the comparisons between the two?
LeBron James and Kobe Bryant: Two sides of the same coin
LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are both two sides of the same coin – one that left an indelible mark on the sport. While both players were known for their impressive skills on the court, their playing styles and personalities differed.
LeBron James is a versatile player who is known for his athleticism, court vision, and passing ability. Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, was a fierce competitor who was known for his scoring ability, footwork, and dedication to the game.
LeBron played for multiple teams and Kobe only played for the Lakers, the differences are aplenty. Off the court, Bryant was known for his work ethic and dedication to his craft.
Their differences make them hard to compare. But ultimately, both LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have left a lasting impact on the sport and will be remembered as two of the greatest players to ever play the game.
