Arshdeep Singh Wickets Video: Punjab Kings Pacer Breaks Stumps Twice to Dismiss Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera at Wankhede Stadium
If ever there needed a visual evidence of a bowler executing the yorker perfectly in the death overs of a cricket match, Punjab Kings fast bowler Arshdeep Singh‘s video of bowling a couple of successive yorkers in a match-winning effort will come in handy.
In addition to dismissing two left-handed batters namely Tilak Varma (3) and Nehal Wadhera (0) on back-to-back deliveries, Singh’s last over in Indian Premier League 2023 Match 31 against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium saw him breaking the middle-stump on both the occasions in a rare instance.
Needing 15 runs off the last four balls, Varma didn’t have many options than to swing his bat. However, he also didn’t have many options against a pinpoint yorker from the left-arm bowler. Wadhera, who looked to emulate Varma against his state teammate, couldn’t do anything better as his first-ball duck sealed a victory for the visitors.

Individual half-centuries from all-rounder Cameron Green (67) and vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav (57) did keep the home team in the match for a long period but their dismissals put them on the back foot.
Pick of the PBKS’ bowlers tonight, Singh picked match-winning bowling figures of 4-0-29-4. Opening the bowling with Matthew Short (0/7), Singh had dismissed Mumbai wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan (1) on the first ball that he bowled on a Saturday night. With him also sending Yadav back to the pavilion in his second spell, Singh didn’t leave any stone unturned in powering Punjab to their fourth IPL 2023 win.

Other than the 24-year old player, part-time spinner Liam Livingstone (1/23) and pacer Nathan Ellis (1/44) picked a wicket apiece. Chasing what would’ve been a record 215-run target with respect to this venue, Indians eventually fell short by 13 runs.
