Shaquille O’Neal Reacts to Gervonta Davis’ ‘Devastating Body Shot’ That Knocked Out Ryan Garcia
Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia was one of the most intriguing boxing matches of this year. The two undefeated boxing stars collided in a 12 rounds fight inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. ‘Tank’ ended Garcia’s winning streak via a knockout in the seventh round. The fight received wide acclamation from the sports and entertainment world given the combatants’ fame. Notable figures like Adin Ross, Mark Wahlberg, Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor, and more attended the event. Other athletes, including NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, also had their eyes on the fight.
The retired basketball great also reacted to the result of the fight on his official Instagram account. ‘Shaq’ seemed pretty impressed by Davis’s knockout of Garcia.

There was a lot of trash-talking before the bout. However, Davis, the former WBA lightweight champion, appeared sharper since the fight’s start. He dropped Garcia to the ground in the second round of the fight.
Finally, Davis landed a vicious shot on Garcia in the liver during the seventh round of the bout. It made him take a knee. Garcia was unable to beat the referee’s counts. Thus, Davis took one of the biggest victories of his career.

While reacting to the grudge match, Shaquille O’Neal posted a reel of the knockout on his official Instagram story. The post by BeefAlert gave an in-depth explanation about the liver shot’s affection body. Thus, explaining why Garcia took a knee following the hit.
‘Shaq’ also uploaded another story related to the fight. In this one, he posted a video from the official page of Overtime. The video explained Davis’ powerful shot and Garcia’s words after his loss.
Shaq is optimistic about Nate Diaz’s boxing debut
As aforementioned, ‘Shaq’ is a fan of mixed martial arts. He even trains in MMA and is also fascinated by the aspects of it. Similarly, the NBA legend never fails to share his thoughts on the ongoing combat world scenario.
That being said, O’Neal once shared his thoughts on Nate Diaz’s boxing debut and said that the ex-UFC fighter can prevail in any genre of combat sports. This was before Diaz’s fight with Jake Paul was announced.
Now, as the former UFC welterweight star is about to make his boxing debut, we will surely see Shaq’s optimism of Diaz goes in which direction. The Stockton native is a fan favorite and has never backed away from any challenges in the UFC.
However, he appears to have passed his prime. Thus, it is difficult to predict his performance against Jake Paul, an opponent who is way younger and bigger than him.
