“C*nts Protesting…” F1 Twitter Slams Climate Warriors Over Formula E Jeopardy in Berlin E Prix

The climate activist group from Germany made a futile effort to disrupt the second Formula E Prix in Germany. The race that took place in Berlin earlier today was initially jeopardized by the invasion of the climate warriors.

As the activist group that goes by the name ‘Last Generation’ accepted responsibility for trying to disrupt the FIA event, fans slammed them and their efforts on social media. Keeping aside how dangerous the move was, fans argued how can Formula E be a ground for climate activists.

As per the surfaced videos from the event, protestors were seen climbing the fence and land themselves on the track. This not only was dangerous for them but also put drivers at risk.

Furthermore, the reports said that the group had plans to disrupt all the events all over Berlin to protest climate change. For this, the said group has recruited over 800 people to bring the Capital to a ‘standstill.’

As soon as the news landed on the internet, fans flocked the social media to call out the protestors. While most of them questioned their choice to disrupt Formula E, given it’s the most efficient racing category, others called it a publicity stunt.

Formula E drivers condemned the move

As the race concluded, Formula E drivers shared their take on the incident. The runners-up of the race Jake Dennis said that he wasn’t sure what was the goal of the protestors and what they were trying to achieve.

Porsche’s Antonio Felix da Costa told The Race that he didn’t understand what was the point to protest in FE. He said to The Race, “We are by far the most ecological, sustainable, and new zero series that ever existed.”

The Polesitter of the race Robin Frijns was also baffled by the choice. He said that Formula E is standing for the climate, has deep concerns over emissions, and then the climate warriors decide to “do this.”
