Shaquille O’Neal Mocks Jordan Poole’s Long 3-point Attempt Against the Lakers With the Game on the Line
Jordan Poole is one of the most intriguing figures in the NBA. He’s a young talented guard, with plenty of swagger looking to make his mark in the league. Last night, against the Los Angeles Lakers, was no different. The Warriors guard was getting his shots in, talking trash, and all in all, being a menace to the Purple and Gold. But, with the game on the line, Poole took a poor shot, a long three-point attempt. Now, for all his cockiness, he is getting clowned online. Even, NBA legends like Shaquille O’Neal are getting in on the action.
In terms of his performance, Poole had a decent night. Coming off the bench, he managed a decent 21 points and six assists. Even his shooting splits were good, with 46% from the field, and around 54% from three. But, stats aren’t always what makes you a superstar.
Sometimes it’s about knowing when to make a particular shot. And, last night a long-range three with the game on the line isn’t the type of shot you want to make. Not unless you’re Wardell Stephen Curry.
Shaquille O’Neal mocks Jordan Poole for his failed long-range three-point attempt
The game of basketball is one of the most entertaining sports out there. Where else will you get to see such a pacy, high-scoring, athletic, jaw-dropping game? But, there are times when even NBA superstars mess up. And, when they do Shaq is there to bare witness.
Apart from his own very successful NBA career, Shaq has made a name for himself as one of the most famous personalities in sports. Most notably, his work with Inside the NBA has put a smile on many a fan’s face. One segment, he is particularly proud of is “Shaqtin’ a Fool”, where he brutally roasts players when they’re got making a mistake in 4k.
Last night, Jordan Poole was one of those players. His decision to attempt a long-range three with a game on the line was mind-boggling. But, instead of roasting him on “Shaqtin’ a Fool”, Big Diesel decided to do it the good old-fashioned way. With a story on Instagram, sharing a clip of a man taking multiple shots only for it to hit the backboard and bounce out.

Shaq certainly knows how to get under people’s skin. But, to be fair to him, it was a terrible shot, and Poole deserves to be mocked for it. Even Steph Curry couldn’t believe what he had witnessed.
Steph Curry was left exasperated after Poole’s terrible three-point attempt
Shaquille O’Neal may be laughing at Jordan Poole, but Stephen Curry certainly isn’t. The Warriors legend looked enraged after Poole’s poor attempt. All he could do was bow his head to the ground, after which he flailed his arms around with an animated look on his face. Safe to say he was not pleased.

Regardless of what happened, the Golden State Warriors will have to move forward toward Game 2. And hopefully that time, it will be Steph who is taking the final shot for the Dubs.
