Gautam Gambhir and Rajat Sharma Fight: Why Has LSG Mentor Tweeted Against Former DDCA President?
Former Indian batter and Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir has lashed out at veteran journalist Rajat Sharma after the latter had criticized him over his ugly spat with former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli on Monday.
For those unversed, during his programme in the news channel India TV, Sharma had come down heavily in criticism of Gambhir, both in his capacity as a former cricketer and a Member of the Parliament.
Sharma, before ruing Gambhir’s behaviour as against the sportsman spirit, even went on to state that his issue with Kohli’s ever-growing popularity was there to see on the ground at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Sharma had ended by stating that Gambhir’s conduct was detrimental to the sport and deserved to be condemned.
Rajat sharma 🗣️ “Gautam Gambhir is jealous of Virat Kohli’s success. He’s not able to digest the fact that Kohli is far better than him.”

Gautam Gambhir and Rajat Sharma Fight
Gambhir, a few minutes ago, took to his social media platform Twitter handle to lash out at Rajat Sharma for his aforementioned comments on him.
Without overtly mentioning his name, Gambhir described Sharma as a “Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing pressure”. He even went on to take a dig at him by suggesting that his concern for cricket was just farce and his destructive criticism of him was a “Paid PR” exercise.
Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing “pressure” seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket! यही कलयुग़ है जहां ‘भगोड़े’ अपनी ‘अदालत’ चलाते हैं।

In all probability, Gambhir was taking a dig at Sharma’s 16-month tenure as the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) president, having been appointed to the post in July 2018.
What did Gambhir call Rajat Sharma a ‘Bhagoda‘?
It is worth of a mention that Sharma had resigned from the post of DDCA president citing his inability to continue at the office amidst “various pulls and pressures” within the organization.
Claiming to have “faced many road blocks, opposition and oppression” in his endeavor to discharge the duties in fair and transparent manner, the now 66-year-old had tendered his resignation from the post in November 2019.
Perhaps considering the resignation as his inability to handle the pressure of the job, Gambhir might have termed Sharma as ‘Bhagoda‘ – a fugitive.
