2023 MVP Joel Embiid Receives $50,000 Rolex From James Harden, Who Gifted Lil Baby $300,000 in Cash For His Birthday

After years of hoping, waiting, and plenty of hard work, Joel Embiid has finally been crowned MVP. The Philadephia 76ers superstar has been in contention for quite a while now. But he lost out to fellow center Nikola Jokic in the last two seasons. Well, now the honor is finally his, and to commemorate the same, his teammate James Harden has gifted him with a $50,000 Rolex.

The 2022-2023 season has been an exceptional one for Embiid. The man averaged 33 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists en route to leading his team to the third seed in the East. A superb achievement to say the least.

And, for such an achievement a shiny prize is well deserved. While the new and improved MVP trophy might suffice. A personalized watch with the words “23 MVP” engraved on it makes winning all the better.

The 2022-2023 MVP race was a tight one between Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. While the Greek Freak did have a great season, it was pretty much established that it would come down to The Process and The Joker.

In many ways, Jokic was like Embiid’s kryptonite. The Cameroonian baller lost out to the Serbian superstar twice in the last two seasons. But, he “trusted the process”, and after some exceptional play throughout the season, he has finally been awarded the title of MVP.

However, things didn’t end there for Embiid. Yes, he got the award he so coveted, but that wasn’t the only thing he received. His 76ers teammate, James Harden also had something for him. A former MVP himself, Harden knows how important an occasion this is. So, in honor of his first MVP success, he gifted Joel a $50,000 Rolex watch with the words “23 MVP” engraved on it.

Embiid was obviously overwhelmed. After all, it was a thoughtful gesture, one that he truly appreciated. But, this isn’t the first time The Beard has been lavish with his gifts. Just ask Lil Baby.

A $50,000 watch for Joel Embiid is a nice gesture from Harden. But, it’s nothing compared to the $300,000 his goof friend Lil Baby got for his birthday. That’s right, James turned up at the party with a fancy bag filled with $300,00, all in cash.

Safe to say Harden knows how to show his appreciation for his friends. And, with a net worth of $170 million, 300,000 is nothing more than change.
