“LeBron James Went 0–5 With a Turnover!”: Skip Bayless Berates Lakers Star’s 4th Quarter Performance in Game 1 Against Warriors
The Los Angeles Lakers registered a huge win last night. Taking on the Golden State Warriors for Game 1 of Round 2 in San Francisco, LeBron James and the Lakers came in and beat the defending champions. It was a dominant performance all through the night, which was threatened by a 14-0 Warriors run. However, the Lakers held on and won the contest. Despite the win, Skip Bayless was still pondering about it a day later and put forth his thoughts on Twitter.
Anthony Davis recorded a Shaquille O’Neal-esque performance, scoring 30 points, grabbing 23 rebounds, dishing 5 assists, and getting 4 blocks. LeBron James had 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. The Lakers registered a 117-112 win in Game 1 to steal the home-court advantage.
However, Skip Bayless wasn’t particularly pleased about one aspect of LeBron’s game.
Skip Bayless mocks LeBron James for his poor shooting, yet again
All throughout this season, and now into the Playoffs, Skip Bayless has been after LeBron James’ life about his 3-point shooting. During the regular season, LBJ was shooting nearly 27-29% from the deep for most of the season. However, he ended his year shooting 32.1% from the deep. In the playoffs, his numbers haven’t gotten better. Instead, they went down spectacularly.
LBJ has been making just 1.3 3s a game, while attempting 7 per game(18.4%). Skip took to Twitter to talk about the same while the Celtics were handing the Sixers a blowout loss in Game 2.
Obscure irrelevant meaningless stat: LeBron James is THE worst 3-point shooter in the playoffs while attempting 7 a game. But who’s counting? Lakers are now 5-2 in the playoffs and up 1-0 on the defending champs.

He also mentioned how Bron went 0-5 from the field in the final 6 minutes against the Dubs, when they were on a 14-0 run. Not only did he miss all shots, but he also turned the ball over as well.
I’m sure nobody noticed and nobody cares, but in the last 6 minutes last night, LeBron went 0-5 with a turnover as Golden State erased a 14-point lead. Just FYI. No big deal. Lakers survived.

It wasn’t talked about as much because Bron and the Lakers finished the game with a win. However, he did bring up the same on Undisputed as well.
Skip told LeBron that he can’t be Steph
LeBron James has a lot of skill sets that helped him become the dominant superstar he is today. 3-point shooting is not one of them. Skip Bayless mentioned the same on his show last night. While mentioning keys for Game 2, Skip said Bron should stop chucking up that many 3s and just drive the ball.
The Lakers do everything better basketball-wise, but the key fix for the Lakers? LeBron can’t be Steph. Just put your head down and drive. More @undisputed, now on FS1. https://t.co/UWf6r4Kcsu

While it’s hard to imagine Bron reducing the number of 3s he’ll attempt, what Anthony Davis said about Steph sure tells us that the Lakers are cautious about the Warriors. They won’t let the Game 1 win get to them and stay focused for the upcoming Game 2 challenge.
