“Anthony Davis Should Have a 40-20 or 50-20 Game”: Shannon Sharpe Expects The Brow & LeBron James to Punish ‘Small’ Warriors
The Golden State Warriors started their Game 2 on Friday with Kevon Looney on the bench and JaMychal Green starting for him. The 6ft 9’, former Nuggets forward started at 4, with 6ft 6’ Draymond Green taking the 5 spot. Anthony Davis had 23 rebounds with Looney playing Game 1.
The decision came just after a game where Looney was the only man who dominated the board in Game 1 for the Dubs. Going against Davis, the 6ft 9’ Warriors center also had 23 rebounds. However, Steve Kerr sat him on the bench citing a non-COVID illness.
Warriors say Looney will indeed play but is playing through illness in Game 2.

And so, the onus must be on AD to be even better on the board than in Game 1. That was what Unc expected from him.
Shannon Sharpe expects Anthony Davis to put up a 40/20 or 50/20 in Game 2
Before the Lakers and the Warriors locked horns, Shannon Sharpe of Fox Sports 1, who is a known LeBron James and LA Lakers supporter, came out on Twitter to set expectations for Bron and his superstar teammate.
“With Green starting in place of Looney. AD should have a 40-20 or 50-20 gm (game). Punish this small tm (team) on the block. The Lakers should have at a minimum 60-plus rebs. Bron should buy property in the lane also,” Sharpe Tweeted before the game.

None of his expectations came true in the 1st quarter as the Lakers out-boxed the Warriors for just 1 more rebound. Davis had just 3 rebounds off the Lakers’ 11, while James was letting it fly from the distance rather than dominating the paint.
In fact, the Warriors have 14 more points (24) than the Lakers (10) in the paint as we speak and have a rebound more than their much taller opponents.
