Lewis Hamilton Once Ended Up Bashing David Croft and Ted Kravitz for the Sake of Honesty
Lewis Hamilton once went through a lie detector test arranged by Sky Sports F1 ahead of this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix. While revealing his thoughts, he bashed the renowned F1 personality David Croft and Ted Kravitz.
The lie detector test can generally bring out awkward and uncomfortable revelations from someone. But luckily for Hamilton, there wasn’t much to reveal, which could have caused controversy or awkwardness in the end. But there were a few.
However, the Mercedes maestro was unapologetic about letting out the truth and hurting people. Having said that, the seven-time world champion’s admission is indeed believed to be a direct blow for the two renowned names on the F1 paddock.
Lewis Hamilton’s admission to Kravitz and Croft
Kravitz and Croft are surely the two most famous people with microphones for Sky Sports’ audience. Their presence is a must in any race the British broadcaster covers throughout the F1 season.
However, it’s not the same for the Silver Arrows ace as he was asked in the lie detector test if Crofty is the best commentator ever. To which the Briton had a prompt “No” as the answer.
The 38-year-old was asked if he had ever watched Ted’s Notebook. Answering this, Hamilton says, “What is it, what’s that? I don’t even know what that is. So no.”
Leaving Crofty aside, who’s arguably the best F1 commentator alive, Kravitz has a show that he presents and produces named Ted’s Notebook. The show that Hamilton wasn’t aware of showcases the in-depth technical analysis and insights of the F1.
Croft and Kravitz are, however, Lewis Hamilton loyalists
Even though Hamilton doesn’t think David Croft is the best commentator ever or doesn’t know about Ted Kravitz’s notebook show, the duo has always supported the seven-time world champion for a long-time.
One such example was when Croft said that Hamilton was denied his eighth world championship after the conclusion of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He said the British driver would have been the champion if the written rules were adhered to.
Furthermore, Kravitz once risked his Sky Sports career by going against Max Verstappen to support the Mercedes star. In his Ted’s Notebook show, the British commentator said Hamilton was robbed of his championship, which instigated Red Bull and Verstappen to boycott Sky Sports for a fair amount of time.
