In 2011, Stephen Curry married the love of his life, Ayesha Curry, nee Alexander. The two have been married for 12 years now, and their love for each other has only grown stronger. They support each other in and through everything no matter what. And, such was the case prior to the Warriors’ loss to LeBron James’ Lakers. And of course, it still is the case today. A few weeks ago, the Los Angeles Lakers managed to scrape a five-point victory over the Warriors in Game 1 of their semi-final matchup. It was a gut-wrenching loss. But, one that had many asking a lot of questions.

One particular question came from Insider, who approached Steph’s wife Ayesha following the game. And, when asked if losing takes its toll on Steph or dampens the mood in the household, the matriarch of the Curry family gave a very concise answer. Her husband treats losses the same as he treats wins. He just moves on to the next game.

Ayesha Curry reveals that Stephen Curry brushes off losses just like he brushes off wins

The Western Conference Semi-Final was a series to forget for the Golden State Warriors. Losing the series in six games, there were even concerns about whether the Dubs would dissapoint as early as the first game.

Game 1 in the Chase Center ended with the Lakers coming out on top, narrowly defeating the Warriors 112-117. Following the loss, many wondered how Steph was feeling. And the best person to ask was inarguably his wife, Ayesha Curry. After all, she knows her husband better than anyone else.

In an interview with Insider, Ayesha was asked about how her husband deals with losses. And, as she revealed to interviewer Muna Mire, Steph deals with them the same way he deals with wins. He lets them roll off his back and moves on to the next one. Take a look at the tweet by Insider below.

“Curry shakes her head as though warding something off. “The wins roll off his back, but the losses roll off, too. He never lingers too long in the stink of a loss,” she says. “He kind of just keeps it moving.” It’s clear from her delivery that there’s no room for debate: When it comes to her husband, she’s a true believer.”

 

It’s great to see just how supportive Ayesha is of her husband. And, that goes both ways. In fact, this translates superbly to their work to give back to the community, something that helped Steph win the Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award.
