MS Dhoni signs for German company in a bumper deal
MS Dhoni signs for German company: Former Indian captain has agreed to endorse a new brand.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former Indian captain and current wicket-keeper batsman in the limited-overs format, has signed for a German company named WardWiz in a bumper deal which will benefit him with INR 15 crore for a three-year period. Aarka Sports, a Sports Management company which looks after MS Dhoni Cricket Academy, has been the connect between the cricketer and the company.
Despite his retirement from Test cricket, Dhoni has continued to maintain his brand image which provides him with such opulent offers from time to time. With Chennai Super Kings winning the IPL title this year, it is something which helps Dhoni in still attracting brands.
WardWiz is a cyber security company, which offers security solution products for both PCs and mobiles, is looking to expand its portfolio in the Indian market. Citing their intention of expanding in India, signing Dhoni might prove to be a fruitful deal for them.
“I am very excited to be associated with WardWiz that has always been displayed as the booster and one-stop shop in complete security for personal computers and mobile systems. I am working closely with them on my ideas too”, Dhoni was quoted after signing the contract.
Abhijeet Khot, CEO – India, expressed excitement after the deal was sealed, “Our association is the right fit with many common factors and I am sure this alliance will emphasise the factor that the brand is the best choice for our patrons. We believe we have embarked on a journey and with him on board and we are even more excited about the road that lies ahead”, he said.
A couple of days ago, Dhoni’s name had entered another controversy when him getting the status of a ‘State Guest’ upon his visit in Himachal Pradesh had not been liked by the opposition.
