The Colombian pop star was present in the Mercedes garage, rooting for the Briton who took P2 in the race. Rumor has it that Shakira had no plans of attending the race. The singer was in Barcelona to drop her kids at their father, Gerard Pique’s place.

However, she turned up for the race after the 7x world champion requested her to be there to support him. It turns out the Mercedes driver wooed his reported love interest with a $1,500 gift to welcome her into the race.

Shakira arrived in Barcelona in style to support Lewis Hamilton. The singer was spotted wearing a pink $1500 Versace silk blouse as she cheered for Hamilton from the Mercedes garage.

She shared a snap of her outfit on her Instagram with the caption, “Nice to be back in Barcelona!” In response, Donatella Versace, heiress of the luxury Italian designer, commented, “Looking amazing in Versace.”

Rumour has it that Shakira’s outfit was a special gift from her love interest Hamilton. The driver, who is good friends with Versace’s heiress, is popular for being a fashionable figure. The Briton had even visited Versace’s Cannes launch of the brand’s collaboration with Dua Lipa.

Fans even credited the “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker for Hamilton’s blazing speed in Barcelona. While the Briton was struggling with the Mercedes W14 so far, he found some mysterious extra performance last Sunday.

Hamilton is well known to be one of F1’s very own Casanovas. He was last linked with Brazilian model Juliana Nalu. However, the driver never addressed the rumors.
