“I’m Showing This To My Grandkids”: Placed In The Same Echelon As Michael Jordan And Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade Contemplates Over ‘Greatest Shooting Guards’
Michael Jordan‘s unrivaled greatness solidified him as the greatest of all time to many, making him the pinnacle of shooting guards. Kobe Bryant’s remarkable achievements placed him on the same hallowed ground. For Dwyane Wade, being honored alongside these legends ignites a fire within, acknowledging his own extraordinary career. To stand among such esteemed company is a testament to Wade’s impact and legacy, a badge of honor he wears with immense pride.
When D. Wade was growing up and until the time he was drafted, MJ was undeniably the standard for basketball. So, it wasn’t a surprise that MJ was Wade’s favorite player. Moreover, being from Chicago, MJ meant even more to young Dwyane.
Dwyane Wade shares a post that had him placed beside Jordan and Kobe
Wade posted an article from Bleacher Report featuring a Tweet by a user named Mink Flow. Mink Flow stated that Kobe, Jordan, and Wade were the top three shooting guards ever, and it wasn’t up for discussion. Wade, the ex-Miami Heat player, shared the post on his social media and added his own comments.
“True or False? Either was I’m showing this to my grandkids one day.”
The inclusion of the Chicago-born star player in the list is expected. He achieved three championships with the Heat and was once declared Finals MVP. Kobe had an outstanding career too, winning five championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and receiving two Finals MVP awards. Additionally, Michael’s accomplishments are unmatched. He earned five regular season MVPs, six Finals MVPs, and won six NBA championships with the Bulls.

There are perhaps only two players in the history of basketball who would even remotely be in the vicinity of these great players. One of them is James Harden and the other is perhaps the icon Allen Iverson.
Wade was one of the best closers in basketball and we can’t forget that
Dwyane Wade is considered by many to be one of the best closers in the history of basketball. Despite the fact that he has only three NBA titles and one final MVP in his favor, Wade was known for his shot-making ability. Over the years that he played in the league, he has had 20 game-winning moments in total. For many, the debate is limited to Kobe, Jordan, or LeBron.
However, that is not fair to a player of Wade’s caliber. Stan Van Gundy, the former NBA coach, also said that D. Wade was the “best end-of-the-game, last-shot guy” he had ever seen. Moreover, the three-time NBA champion also did it with a high shooting percentage.

Wade was listed among the top 75 players on the 75th anniversary of the NBA, and that says a lot about his greatness. He won championships with LeBron and Shaq. However, what was perhaps mostly ignored about his career was closing out games and being the excellent, selfless teammate that he was.
