“Going to Make $50–60,000,000”: Khabib Nurmagomedov Talks About Francis Ngannou’ Bright Future Ahead of Tyson Fury Fight
The MMA world is now buzzing over one of the most anticipated heavyweight boxing contests in history, which will take place between former UFC champion Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury. The battle was ultimately announced a few days ago after months of negotiations. It will take place on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will follow conventional boxing rules. Several well-known figures have already spoken out about the match. Now, former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has also joined the bracket.
Francis Ngannou is going to collect the biggest payday of his career as a result of this fight, and Nurmagomedov is overjoyed. He did, however, warn ‘The Predator’ that facing Fury would not be easy.
Khabib Nurmagomedov talks about Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury
Francis Ngannou has had a years-long dispute with the UFC for not allowing him to box outside the promotion. But, despite warnings from many about a downfall, the Cameroonian warrior is one step closer to his dream.
He will not only be facing one of the finest heavyweight boxers, but he will also undoubtedly walk away with a large sum of money. Receiving a million-dollar paycheck on your debut is an incredible achievement for any athlete. Talking about the same, as per BoxingScene, Khabib Nurmagomedov said:
“If he can go to boxing, he’s going to make 50-60 million dollars, he has to. Why not? Because I know that Francis has come from a poor life… If someone pays you more money, go and take it, if your goal is money.”
While the former UFC lightweight champion is optimistic about Francis Ngannou’s future, he is skeptical of his boxing abilities versus Tyson Fury.
Nurmagomedov warns Ngannou
British professional boxer Tyson Fury is an unbeaten heavyweight champion. In addition, 24 of his 30 victories have been via knockout. Given his boxing expertise, Nurmagomedov believes Fury will be able to keep his position against Ngannou.
Per the BoxingScene report, Khabib Nurmagomedov said:
“Tyson Fury, this guy is the best right now. I think Tyson Fury is on a different level in boxing. If they fight in MMA, of course, Francis Ngannou has a chance… If they fight in the UFC, Tyson Fury has not much of a chance. In boxing, I don’t see anyone that can touch his face. Maybe [Oleksandr] Usyk. Usyk is going to be his toughest challenge for Tyson Fury.”
Although Nurmagomedov’s remarks have some truth, we cannot rule out Ngannou’s tremendous punching power. In the UFC, he has delivered some spectacular knockouts. As a result, he appears to be a viable opponent for the British boxer.
