World Events to watch:

8:06 PM: Men’s Individual Eliminations (Archery): Kim Woo-Jin (South Korea) has broken the previous record total, by getting 700 points out of a possible 720 in the men’s individual ranking event earlier. An average of 9.7 after 72 arrows is incredible. He is definitely the favourite to win gold, but whether he can continue such a good accuracy is a thing to be seen.

10:04 PM: Men’s 200 m butterfly heats: Michael Phelps will be seen in action for the first time in Rio Olympics 2016. He holds the record of highest medals in Olympics, 22 medals and 18 of them are gold.

 

Important Pointers:

• India’s flag bearer Abhinav Bindra will represent the nation tomorrow along with another medal prospect Gagan Narang.
• Indian Men’s Hockey team will face a sterner test against Germany. India should definitely sort out the issues they had against Ireland and put in a better show.
