Rafael Nadal net worth: Superstar becomes larger than tennis and life
According to Forbes, Rafael Nadal managed to earn $15.5 million despite missing out on the majority of the 2023 season as 95% of those earnings came off the court. That has made him the fifth richest tennis player in the world in 2023. Although the 22-time Grand Slam champion may still be far away from reaching Roger Federer’s popularity and riches, he continues to be a marketer’s dream.
It seems that Rafael Nadal is using his break to get ready for life post retirement. Apart from this historic deal with Infosys, he is also the global brand ambassador for American fast food giant, Subway alongside Steph Curry. The Spanish legend continues to endorse his long-time partners such as Kia Motors, Richard Mille, Nike, Babolat, Santander, Emperio Armani, Tommy Hilfiger and Telefonica. Although Nadal is largely a private person off the court, he has been to earn more than $500 million with ease over the years.
Rafael Nadal is also expected to benefit from a hospitality partnership with Melia Hotels International to open a new chain of hotels in Spain and other overseas locations. He has added these hotels to an impressive real estate portfolio which includes multiple commercial and residential properties in Spain, some of which already have restaurants who have agreed to lease deals.
The Rafael Nadal net worth figure for 2023 is estimated to be between $220-250 million as per Spanish publications, Marca and El Mundo. The literally ‘million dollar’ question now remains – Will Rafael Nadal become the second tennis billionaire ever? Time will tell.
