Ravindra Jadeja’s sword celebration after scoring a maiden Test century: Jadeja celebrated his feat in the best possible manner.

During the second day of the first Test of the ongoing series between India and West Indies at Rajkot, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored his maiden Test century in front of his home crowd. The milestone was followed by a jubilant celebration from the 29-year old all-rounder.

Jadeja had come in to bat at No. 7 in the 109th over. After being watchful initially, Jadeja took the task onto him after captain Virat Kohli got out in the 124th over. Having majorly played with Ravichandran Ashwin and the tail-enders, Jadeja once again proved as to why he can come good down the order for India.

Jadeja went in to lunch at 19*. While his chances of capitalising on this start were visible, not many would have thought of him going into the tea break after scoring a century. On the third delivery of the 138th over, with a boundary through the third-man region off Roston Chase, Jadeja completed his half-century.

Jadeja immediately up the ante as he scored boundaries in all the four subsequent overs. However, with wickets falling at the other end, the possibilities of Jadeja not being able to complete his hundred were also high.

India’s last batsman in the form of Mohammad Shami walked in to bat in the 145th over. Jadeja was batting on 79 at that point in time. A six, four and a six in the overs to follow saw him reaching 98 without much trouble.

After a couple of economical overs, Jadeja eventually reached to the feat on the fourth delivery of the 150th over. Jadeja’s celebrations spoke highly about the emotions which he was going through at that point in time.
