Marvel Actor Dresses Up as Injured Aaron Rodgers For Halloween

Witnessing Aaron Rodgers’ injury marked one of the most agonizing moments in the first half of the NFL season. The New York Jets’ star quarterback had set the stage for a remarkable 19th season. However, fate had a different plan. Remarkably, his recovery journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Rodgers defied the odds, showcasing his determination by playing football on crutches–an iconic moment in his career. To the amazement of fans, he even caught the attention of Marvel actor Simu Liu.

Simu Liu, known for his role in Marvel’s Shang-Chi, decided to make a unique Halloween costume choice inspired by Aaron Rodgers. However, it wasn’t a New York Jets NFL uniform, as one might expect. Instead, the actor chose to portray Aaron Rodgers in his post-injury avatar. An avatar in which Rodgers made many jaws drop, showing off his fast recovery.

Himself recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, the celebrity chose a unique way to celebrate the holiday season. On Instagram, Liu revealed his get-up, transforming his plastered leg into an integral part of the costume.

In a recent Instagram post, the actor, Simu Liu, delighted his fans by sharing several photos of his Halloween costume, in which he ingeniously portrayed Aaron Rodgers. He sported a New York Jets shirt and carried a football while leaning on crutches, with a cast on his right foot, masterfully capturing Rodgers’ iconic post-injury look.

In the caption, he playfully acknowledged the transformation and wrote-

“Ya boy went a little too method this Halloween. I know this might seem like a very low-effort costume on the surface but i assure you the commitment was absolute. I got the stitches to prove it!”

Simu Liu thanked his girlfriend, Allison Hsu, for being with him and driving him to his early morning surgery. He also wished both himself and Aaron Rodgers a fast recovery in the caption. A week ago, Liu took to Instagram to share snapshots from his recent Florida trip with friends, notably showcasing himself on crutches. While he didn’t disclose the injury’s origin, he expressed gratitude to his friends for their support and reflected on how much he missed being able to walk freely. The images depicted Liu enjoying the company of a group of around 20 friends, including his girlfriend.

Rodgers has been showing massive improvements in his Achilles tear injury, with some even calling him a “medical marvel.” The ‘Barbie’ actor should perhaps hit up Rodgers for some insights into how he can speed up the healing process and get back to filming the next hit.
