Frozen & Opaque Suite Windows at Arrowhead Forces Fans to Contemplate if “Swifties Would Riot” in Case They Can’t See Their Goddess
The playoffs are here, and so is Taylor Swift. The pop star has once more graced Arrowhead Stadium to support her boyfriend. The icy weather has not dampened the mood for anyone, but Swifties might be shortchanged if they don’t get to see their queen on the jumbo as much. There is also a possibility that we won’t have enough fancam Swift moments from the suites.
The culprit? The icy cold inside Arrowhead led the windows to frost over, obstructing the view of the inside as well as the outside. Swifties will definitely be disappointed to not get a full view of their queen. One Chiefs fan cheekily took a dig at Swifties as he wondered if there would be rioting at the stadium due to the poor visibility of Taylor Swift from the suites, as he wrote, “Swifties are going to riot if they can’t see their God!“

I will be inconsolable if Taylor Swift is uncomfortable for even a second.

How’s nbc going to show Taylor?!?

However, there doesn’t seem to be any possibility of rioting, as NBC already gave us another iconic Swift moment. In a clip from the network, the popstar could be seen peering out of her condensation-hampered suite windows, revealing that it’s equally hard to see outside as it is to see inside.
The National Weather Service anticipated temperatures around kickoff would be -2 with the frigid weather dropping to -10 overnight. So, it’s not surprising that visibility will be fraught, but eventually, the condensation cleared up enough for fans to be able to get a full view of their “goddess.” There’ll be no rioting from Swifties tonight.

However, the temperature in Kansas had people worried about the health of fans and players, as many asked for the game to be pushed back, even as attendance seemed to be minimized.
Should the Game Have Been Postponed?
The court of public opinion is divided on the prospect of whether the Dolphins vs Chiefs matchup should’ve been postponed like the Bills game, due to the extreme weather conditions. While some believed the game must go on, others were really concerned about player and health safety. The bone-chilling weather even led to a dip in ticket prices ahead of the matchup, with seats for as low as $45-$50, with 50-yard line tickets selling for less than $300, unusual for the playoffs.

Fans in the stands will need much more than just a ‘Cardigan’ to ward off the chill. Visuals from the parking at Arrowhead Stadium before the showdown painted a picture of fans missing the tailgating parties, and staying home to catch the game on streaming. While it will be a hard task for the fans in the stands, the players should have an easier run of it.
A fun piece of info about tonight’s Chiefs-Dolphins game is that the Chiefs spent $2.2 million on a heating system under the field in 2016.
So while the wind chill is -30 degrees, the actual field itself will be heated to 50 degrees.

The field in Arrowhead is equipped with an underground heating system worth $2.2 million. While the chilly winds will be a problem for the on-the-road Dolphins, used to the Florida weather, they can still expect a playing surface of around 50 degrees.
