WATCH: Magic Johnson confirms who would win in 1-on-1 between Jordan and LeBron
Magic Johnson and LeBron James joined forces before the start of the ongoing NBA season, as LeBron moved to the Lakers in order to begin one last chapter of his illustrious NBA career(or is the last?).
Johnson, who is currently the President of basketball operations at the Lakers is working with LeBron in order to bring back the glory days to Los Angeles.
The Lakers are currently working on multiple trades in order to bolster their roster and challenge the Warriors dynasty.
Now, Johnson is part of that elite list which can has some claim to the title of the greatest basketball player of all time.

The Lakers Legend won 5 NBA titles, along with 3 NBA finals MVP and 3 regular season MVP awards.
Now, the ‘GOAT debate’ has really flourished in the last few days, largely due to LeBron’s comments about how he felt he has surpassed Jordan to become the greatest player of all time post that heroic comeback against the Warriors in the 2016 NBA finals.
LeBron felt that beating that Warriors team, one that had gone 73-9 in the regular season had to be one of the biggest achievements in basketball history, and because the Cavs were able to do it post being 3-1 down, it had made him the greatest player of all time.
The statement hasn’t gone down quite well with the NBA fraternity, with fans digging up a 2009 Michael Jordan video, one where he said that he couldn’t ever accept the tag of the GOAT, as it would be disrespectful to all the legends that played the game before him.
Jordan emphasised on the fact that people may never really come to know who the greatest player of all time is, as none of us can really see all NBA legends going against each other in their prime.

Now, a video of Magic Johnson has surfaced too, one where a series of his tweets have emerged, those that confirm that Johnson felt Jordan would absolutely destroy LeBron in a 1-on-1.
“If MJ and LeBron played 1-on-1 10 times, MJ would win all 10. MJ is the ultimate 1-on-1 player.” Johnson said.
While Johnson’s allegiance currently lies with LeBron, but according to his comments, he might give Jordan the edge in the ‘GOAT’ debate, a statement that could cause some controversy especially after LeBron’s recent comments.
Check out the video:
Do you think Magic Johnson would now come up with a different answer after LeBron coming on board the Lakers? Or will he let LeBron know what he really feels. Also, Johnson’s views could have changed in the last few years, especially because of how LeBron has flourished in the league despite being in his 30’s.
