Lewis Hamilton might finish career at Ferrari believes F1 expert
Lewis Hamilton is often regarded as the greatest driver of his generation, and with claiming his 5th title in the previous season, has definitely established himself as one of the all time greats. But in such an illustrious career, he’s never donned the red of the F1’s most prestigious team.
The Brit re-signed with Mercedes last year, extending his contract till 2020. But F1 expert and television pundit Tony Jardine believes his next move could be to Ferrari.
“Yes, after those two years, he might finish his career (at Ferrari) and do a two year deal with them, which would be fantastic,” Jardin told Express Sport.
“Any driver always thinks about going to drive for Ferrari because it’s the dream. It’s like the Manchester United of the sport. It’s the red colours, it’s the heritage, this incredible history.”

Ferrari’s current top driver, Sebastian Vettel, who’d prior to joining Ferrari tasted immaculate success with Red Bull, has had a dry spell with Scuderia. Jardine believes that Ferrari would need to prove they are capable of competing at the front of the grid for Hamilton to move, as the team goes into their 11th season without a constructor’s title in 2019.
“Ferrari would have to be looking good and be a good prospect. But it’d be a great way for him to finish his career.” Although any comments on them haven’t been recorded from Hamilton, this is an luscious prospect for fans of the sport, who would love to see the association of one of the sport’s greatest ever drivers with it’s most prestigious team.
