IPL 2019 News: CSK post a flashback tweet for MS Dhoni
CSK post a flashback tweet for MS Dhoni: The IPL champions took to Twitter as they were reminiscent of one of Dhoni’s innings of IPL 2018.
IPL Champions Chennai Super Kings took to social media platform Twitter to post a flashback photo of their captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The same happened after Dhoni aided India captain Virat Kohli to propel India to 190-4 in the second T20I against Australia last night.
While Dhoni’s plentiful fans would have wanted him to score a half-century like Kohli, that wasn’t the case as he eventually mis-timed a Pat Cummins delivery to Australia captain Aaron Finch at long-off in the last over. Dhoni ended up scoring 40 (23) with the help of three fours and three sixes. He and Kohli shared a 100-run stand for the fourth wicket.
With him facing severe criticism for his innings in the first T20I at Visakhapatnam, Dhoni’s innings yesterday was a fitting reply to all his critics who doubt him to play at the highest level.

Other than posting one of Dhoni’s photo from the second T20I, CSK posted another photo of the match which he played against Royal Challengers Bangalore during last season of the IPL. It is worth mentioning that both the knocks were played at the same venue.
The 24th match of IPL 2018 saw Dhoni playing a match-winning innings to chase a 206-run target. When Dhoni came in to bat at No. 6 in that match, CSK required another 132 runs from 11 overs. As Super Kings won the match with a couple of balls to spare, Dhoni ended up scoring 70* (34) with the help of one four and seven sixes.
