Virat Kohli’s amazing reaction on Rohit Sharma’s paddle shot: The Indian captain was seen enjoying the vice-captain’s stroke.
During the first ODI of the ongoing Australia’s tour of India at Hyderabad, India captain Virat Kohli gave the impression of being in awe of vice-captain Rohit Sharma after he hit a paddle shot off Australia fast bowler Jason Behrendorff.
After India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan got out on the first ball which he faced, it was the duo of Sharma and Kohli who provided the team with the rescue act. The pair was seen sharing a 76-run partnership for the second wicket.
Behrendorff is worth a place in the World Cup squad just for his record against Rohit Sharma.

During their time of batting together, Sharma tried a unique shot, which perhaps no one was expecting him to play given the situation of the match. Not chasing a formidable total and having lost a wicket early, there wasn’t much need for the right-hand batsman to play a paddle shot.

No hesitation from confident Sharma
Having said that, Sharma didn’t hesitate for a bit in his attempt to play such a shot against a pacer. In what was his fifth boundary, it happened on the second delivery of the ninth over. It is worth mentioning that Sharma had got out playing the same shot to the bowler in his last international outing.

As much the crowd, Kohli also relished the shot from the non-striker’s end. His reactions after it was played spoke highly about the same. While the duo would have liked to build on their starts, both of them failed at the same.
While Kohli (44) got out in the 17th over, Sharma (37) soon followed him to the dressing room in the 21st. It was an unbeaten match-winning 141-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Mahendra Singh Dhoni (59) and Kedar Jadhav (81) which saw India through in the chase.
