MS Dhoni opens up on Sakshi Dhoni’s contribution: The Chennai Super Kings captain recently opened up on how his wife has contributed to his game.

Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had recently expressed his opinion on the infamous IPL 2013 Spot-fixing scandal. In what was a trailer of a documentary titled ‘Roar of the Lion’, it released on online streaming platform Hotstar on the day before yesterday.

Opening to a good response from the audiences, Roar of the Lions predominantly addresses the magnificent comeback story of Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings. Banned for two years because of involvement in the scandal, CSK ended up registering their third IPL title on return last year.

Given the affinity with the whole story, several CSK cricketers including all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and opening batsman Ambati Rayudu had expressed awe about the trailer on social media platform Twitter.

Narrating the events in the documentary, Dhoni also talks about his wife Sakshi Dhoni and discloses how her contribution to his cricket has been “very important”. “I feel Sakshi’s contribution to my cricket is very important in its own way wherever and however she can chip in. I always felt she was always there for all of that,” Dhoni is heard as saying in Roar of the Lion.

With IPL 2019 all set to commence tomorrow, Super Kings will be playing the season opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. If the defending champions become successful in defending their title for the second time in IPL history, they will become the first IPL franchise to win four titles.
