“TRUTH Is Always Revealed”: Kyrie Irving Calls Out NYC Covid Policy Architect Responsible for Him Missing Nets Home Games
During the Covid pandemic, the city of New York adopted certain Covid policies to ensure the safety of NBA players and other people during games. The architect of the policy, Dr. Jay Varma, was caught on tape bragging about how his policy restricted Kyrie Irving from playing home games with the Brooklyn Nets at the time.
The footage recorded from a hidden camera has now gone viral on the Internet. In the clip, Dr. Varma can be heard saying, “Because of the vaccine mandates that I passed, he [Irving] was not allowed to play.”
The clip caught Kyrie’s attention as well and the veteran NBA guard decided to call Varma out on social media.
Kyrie reposted the clip and wrote, “GOD is truly the greatest and the TRUTH is always revealed in the light. I am grateful I am not alone on this mission. “Rise up out of the ashes no matter what” Hélà.”

The Mavericks star believes that the admission from Dr. Varma regarding his policy exposes the agenda against him and others like him.
Another clip posted in the same thread by the conservative podcaster responsible for the sting operation, Steven Crowder, shows Dr. Varma talking about being careless about Covid protocols.
He can be heard saying that he went to underground dance parties during the pandemic. Dr. Varma admitted that his actions were “not Covid friendly” and that if regular civilians saw him doing that, they’d be agitated.

Despite being fully aware of his actions, he went out and had fun while enforcing Covid protocols and vaccine mandates on the public. The viral clip might make people question his credibility and intentions behind all these actions.
His admission about blocking Kyrie Irving from playing games doesn’t help his case either.
The Nets suffered in Irving’s absence and the messy situation also led to James Harden demanding a trade to Philadelphia. Kyrie’s decision to not get vaccinated made him lose a lot of money as well.
According to a report by ESPN, the 2016 NBA Champion was eligible for a four year, 100+ million extension contract. But it could never become a reality once his name was marred in the vaccination saga. In 2022, during the Nets Media Day, Kyrie said, “I gave up four years, 100-and-something million deciding to be unvaccinated and that was the decision.”
The veteran guard was labeled as irresponsible and selfish on national TV. However, Varma’s viral video somewhat vindicates Kyrie’s position in hindsight.
It’s slowly getting clearer that Kyrie was not responsible for the debacle in Brooklyn.
