RCB playoff chances: How can RCB still qualify for IPL 2019 playoffs
RCB playoff chances: The Sportsrush presents before you Royal Challengers Bangalore’s prospects of qualifying for IPL 2019 playoffs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have a knack of not playing according to their potential in the Indian Premier League. It is a primary reason behind them not winning a single IPL title despite playing the tournament since its first edition in 2008.
Expected to do well this time, Royal Challengers commenced their season with as many as six consecutive defeats. Just when captain Virat Kohli was on the verge of becoming the first captain to register seven consecutive defeats in the first seven matches, RCB defeated Kings XI Punjab by 8 wickets in Mohali to register their maiden victory.
Since then, Bangalore have won four out of five matches in a bid to gain some momentum (and respect) in the tournament. Overall, with four wins in 11 matches, RCB are still reeling at the bottom of the points table.
Having said that, Royal Challengers are still in contention to make the playoffs of the tournament. The fact that Bangalore can’t afford to lose any more matches goes without saying. Given their unsuccessful run spree first up, RCB have no option but to depend on other teams in addition to improve their own Net Run Rate.
RCB playoff chances
RCB will play their next match against Delhi Capitals at Feroz Shah Kotla today. Assuming that they win the match, they need Mumbai Indians to defeat Kolkata Knight Riders later in the day. In fact, RCB’s chances will get affected big time even if Knight Riders or Rajasthan Royals win a single match from now on in the tournament.
The last time RCB met DC was for the Green Game, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. We will be looking to get one back with a win in Delhi tomorrow. Relive the best moments from RCB vs DC from the official match highlights. #PlayBoldhttps://t.co/Uk93Sztj8g

For RCB to qualify, Kings XI Punjab will need to not win more than one (out of three) match in the tournament. Therefore, Bangalore would be hoping for Hyderabad to defeat Punjab on Monday.
A clash between the top three teams will be inconsequential for Bangalore. However, they would want to register a couple of comprehensive victories in a bid to better their NRR which might play a spoilsport in either of KKR or RR registers victories in their respective matches.
After their match against DC, RCB are scheduled to face Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.
