Fact Check: Does Kevin Durant Have a Brother? NBA Centel’s ‘Nolan Durant’ Post Raises Questions About Suns Star’s Real Siblings
There is very little known about Kevin Durant’s personal life though he has been a notable public figure for more than two decades. The Phoenix Suns’ superstar has always kept things guarded, especially details about his family, and refrains from commenting on rumors to avoid giving them any undue credence.
However, since his personal is shrouded in mystery, any claim made, baseless or not, tends to go viral. And, worse, get assumed as the truth. A video, for instance, is gaining traction on X.
Claim
A clip of a man looking uncannily similar to Durant gained a lot of views and reactions. The account which originally posted it claimed it was Kevin’s twin brother Nolan Durant.

The caption suggested that he was living in poverty in Brooklyn, struggling to make ends meet. The fans jumped in, questioning why Nolan’s millionaire brother wasn’t helping him. Well, there’s a good reason why Kevin isn’t.
Verdict
The claim that Durant has a twin brother named Nolan is false.
The video was posted by NBA Centel, a parody account, which catches unsuspecting fans off-guard. They often mistake it for the account of NBA Central.
Durant does have a brother, Tony Durant, and a half-brother named Rayvonne Pratt.
The forward and his brother Tony are extremely close. Like Durant, Tony played Division-1 college basketball. He represented Towson University and averaged 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds across two seasons.
Not much is known about Durant’s half-brother Rayvonne, who is a private person. His exact age is unknown, and he doesn’t own any public social media accounts. Durant doesn’t talk much about Rayvonne, respecting and protecting his privacy.
The 14-time All-Star’s immediate family members are known in the public sphere. And, yes, he does not have a twin brother.
