Can RR qualify for IPL 2019 playoffs: The Sportsrush presents before you Rajasthan Royals’ prospects of qualifying for IPL 2019 playoffs.

It has taken a commendable effort on the part of Rajasthan Royals to still be alive in the tournament. Having won one out of their first six matches, Royals were considered to be down and out during the middle phase of the tournament.

Having said that, them winning four matches out of their next seven matches has currently put them at No. 6 in the points table. What must be hurting RR is their rain-affected match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Needing 22 runs to win from 10 balls, RR seemed to be the favourites when the match was called-off.

Had they received two points against RCB, things would have been slightly better for Royals. With Kings XI Punjab ruled out of the tournament, Royals only have a couple of competitors in Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Can RR qualify for IPL 2019 playoffs

Royals will face Delhi Capitals in their last league game at Feroz Shah Kotla in the afternoon. A loss for the visitors will put curtains to their season. That being said, even a victory against the No. 3 team won’t guarantee them a spot in the playoffs.

The circumstances are such that Rajasthan are dependent on other teams to qualify for the playoff stage. RR would be hoping for Royal Challengers Bangalore to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight and Mumbai Indians to defeat Kolkata tomorrow.

If the same happens, RR will qualify as a rare team to qualify for IPL 2019 playoffs with 13 points. Howeverm if even one of SRH or KKR win their respective match, RR would be out of the competition irrespective of if they win or not.
