The Chennai Super Kings are almost certain to finish in the top 2 and get a couple of chances to make it to yet another IPL final. CSK Top-order

Shane Watson has not been up to the mark except one innings. He would look to get into some form and carry it into the playoffs. Faf du Plessis has more often than not played his role very well. He must look to stabilise the innings and the South African captain remains a vital cog in CSK’s batting armour.

Suresh Raina has not had the best of seasons but he would want to display his skills as a batsman in this match where there is hardly any pressure. He did get a 59 in the last match and would want to keep batting in the same way till the final.

CSK Middle-order

The CSK middle order, without Dhoni, has been a grand failure. It is unbelievable how they have managed to remain atop the table in spite of the middle order failing so often. However, Dhoni manages to make unbelievable feats simple to achieve. Dhoni might sit out of this match to give his back a rest before the playoffs.

Dhruv Shorey should come in his place. The rest of the batting order will remain the same as the CSK management believes in completely backing their players.

CSK Bowlers

The CSK bowlers have been excellent and right on the money throughout this IPL. Whether it’s Deepak Chahar’s stringent powerplay overs or Imran Tahir's regular wicket-taking and celebrating knack or Dwayne Bravo’s impeccable death overs, the CSK bowlers have always stepped up to the challenge.

Shardul Thakur might play this game in place of Harbhajan Singh who would probably be rested before the first qualifier at Chennai. Jadeja will also play a significant role in the spin department.
