India to play its Warm-ups against New Zealand and Bangladesh
India will be playing their two games on May 25 (versus New Zealand) and May 28 (against Bangladesh) respectively. Both the games will be day affairs and start at 10:30 am local time, which is 3 pm IST.
Since there will be no restriction on the playing XI, the entire squad will get a suitable practice ahead of the big event. This will a perfect opportunity to sort out the perfect combinations with both the bat and ball for India.
While on one hand, India will have to decide on whether it plays the two wrist spinners- Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal together or it goes with its three ever-potent pace battery- Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
It would be a difficult call for sure (to pick either of the above two options) considering the success India has had with their above spinners off-late in the limited-overs format, and with the recent good run of form the three pacers have had too.
The other option, which is more likely to take place, is to go ‘horses for coarses’ as per the different conditions of pitch and weather in the different venues of England and Wales.
